Phil DeMonte

Phil DeMonte has dedicated much of his life to healthcare and fitness. He competed and coached gymnastics at an elite level and studied Exercise Physiology at Illinois State University. Phil has trained clients in professional health club settings since 1996 and holds certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the Functional Aging Institute (FAI). He also brings five years of intensive care nursing experience—an uncommon combination that shapes his thoughtful, detail-oriented coaching approach.

Phil’s philosophy is simple: meet people where they are and build sustainable momentum through education, encouragement, and smart progression. He works with clients across all fitness levels—from beginners who want a jump-start, to adults focused on healthy aging, to individuals navigating significant challenges such as major weight loss, Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and orthopedic injuries.

Today, Phil partners with MPT Fitness, offering individualized and semi-private training with an emphasis on balance and stability, strength and power development, speed and agility, sports performance, and weight loss. Outside the studio, Phil enjoys time with his wife, two energetic Huskies, and four grandkids. He loves outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, mud runs, and supporting local charitable events.
